Originally designed as a mural for Blaine, Washington, this design presents a frustrated face atop a torso rendered in traditional bentwood box design style, flanked by naaxiin (Chilkat blanket) panels representing ancestral guidance. The composition addresses universal human experiences through the lens of Indigenous artistic tradition.

Formline is the sophisticated visual language of the Tlingit people, characterized by flowing, organic shapes including ovoids, U-forms, and S-forms that connect in specific ways to create balanced compositions. This traditional design system has been passed down through generations while continuing to evolve with contemporary expression.

The design features my signature questioning eye motif, demonstrating the sophisticated intersection of traditional knowledge and contemporary vision. The piece speaks to experiences of frustration and resilience that resonate across cultures, while being grounded firmly in Tlingit artistic principles and visual storytelling traditions.

All artwork is printed using archival-quality giclée printing techniques on 100% cotton acid-free paper. This museum-grade process ensures exceptional detail, color accuracy, and longevity for your artwork.
